How to Do the Posture:
- Stand in Tadasana.
- Bending the knees slightly, lift the left foot up. Balance on the right foot.
- Cross your left leg over the right leg. Hook the left foot behind the lower right calf, pointing the left toes towards the floor.
- Bend the knees slightly, sinking deeper towards the floor.
- Stretch the arms forward. Cross the right arm over (above) the left, so that the elbow of the right is resting in the crook of the left. Twist your right arm around your left, such that the palms are brought together (facing each other) and your hands are grasping each other.
- Keeping your hands in this position, left the forearms (bending at the elbow) so that they are perpendicular to the floor.
- Sink deeper into the posture. Hold this position for several breaths.
- Unfold your arms and then come back onto both feet, standing in Tadasana.
- Repeat, with the opposite arms/legs.
- Bending of the legs
- Extending and folding of the arms
- Making sure tailbone does not jut out
